Years & Years singer Olly Alexander has been accused of 'shocking' miming by Saturday Night Takeaway during his supposedly live performance.

The prospective Eurovision Song contestant, 33, performed his entry Dizzy 'live' on Ant and Dec's popular show for the first time ever on Saturday - but fans weren't impressed.

The actor penned the track with seminal electronic producer Danny L Harle, and Olly has said the tune, which he will perform at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo, Sweden, in May, is about 'feeling such an intense swell of emotion' for someone special.

Following Olly's performance on the weekend, the Geordie presenting duo Ant and Dec shared a snap to Instagram, whilst playfully poking at the Eurovision song's title in the caption, writing: 'Feeling a bit dizzy after that one.'

Fans of the show flocked to the comments expressing their disappointment at what they believed to be lip-syncing, branding Olly's performance as 'shocking'.
