Married At First Sight viewers have revealed the reasons why they believe Richard Sauerman always wears scarves on the show.

The 62-year-old is seen wearing different coloured scarves on the show and left fans shocked as he walked out of the bedroom with one paired with his pyjamas during Wednesday episode.

One viewer shared a post to Facebook asking fans why they believe Richard is always wearing the accessory.

'Must have been a paid advertisement,' one suggested, while another said: 'He might just have a constant cold neck?'

'The scarf is to hide the neck wrinkles and ageing skin. True story,' a third wrote.

'He thinks he's trendy,' another commented while one jokingly said: 'It's a permanent handkerchief to wipe his tears.'

Meanwhile, Richard's bride Andrea Thompson had several explosive outbursts during Wednesday night's Dinner Party episode.

The photographer, 51, was once head-over-heels for older groom Richard, but their connection fizzled during a very heated argument this week.
