Rachel Stevens has revealed S Club 7's plans to mark the one-year anniversary of their bandmate Paul Cattermole's death.

The star was found dead on April 6 - just two months after he and the band announced they were due to go on a reunion tour this autumn.

Rachel Stevens has now revealed that to mark the sad occasion, she and her S Club 7 bandmates will be 'raising a glass' in Paul's honour, telling The Sun on Sunday that touring with the group has been 'cathartic' following Paul's death.

She told the publication: 'I can't believe it is coming up to a year, but we will absolutely be raising a glass.'

She added: 'We celebrate him all the time and that has been another thing that has been so special about coming back together.

'Paul was so excited about this tour, and it has turned into such a tribute to and celebration of him.

'It has been very emotional, but it's a very cathartic way of sharing him and his memories.'

Hannah, Paul, Rachel, Tina Barrett, 47, Jon Lee, 41, Bradley McIntosh, 42 and Jo O'Meara, 44, formed as S Club 7 in 1998 and had a string of huge hits between 1999 and 2003.

They had four number one singles including Don't Stop Movin' and Never Had A Dream Come True.

Paul died suddenly of natural causes, before it was later revealed he'd passed away due to heart issues. There was no inquest into his death.

His body was discovered in his ground floor flat in Wareham, Dorset, devastating his bandmates and fans.

Paul, who made a living as a tarot card reader after quitting the group in 2002, was said to have been in 'good spirits' when he was seen at a park close to his home days earlier.
