Married At First Sight viewers have turned on Timothy Smith after he stormed off in a swear-filled rant after a tense exchange with Lucinda Light during Homestays week.

The marriage celebrant, 43, and the real estate tycoon, 51, got off to a 'slow burn' start on the show but made progress in recent days after sharing a steamy kiss at a dinner party.

However, cracks began to show in their relationship once again in Monday's episode when Lucinda went to stay at Timothy's home in Melbourne and meet his friends.

Doubts began to form for Lucinda when Timothy's close friend Shane spoke about how 'doting' his pal usually is in a relationship, despite the fact that she hasn't seen that side to him.

She was then left upset when Timothy vanished for seven hours only to storm off to get an Uber in a swear-filled rant after his return, seemingly marking the end of their relationship.

Lucinda appeared to have given up on their romance as she said she wanted 'more', with viewers flocking to social media to show their support for her amid the apparent break-up scenes.

Fans turned on Timothy and branded him a 'man child' for storming off to get an Uber and insisted that Lucinda 'deserves better' as they were critical of his angry outburst.
