Disney has greenlit a Wizards of Waverly Place sequel series- with Selena Gomez reprising her role as Alex Russo, as well as serving as an executive producer.
Selena, 31, will be reunited with her on-screen brother David Henrie, 34, who is also set to reprise his role of Justin Russo.
According to Deadline, production on the highly anticipated series will begin in April in Los Angeles.
The release of the show was tentatively scheduled for later this year on the Disney Channel and Disney+.
The plot begins with Henrie's Justin Russo living as a mortal with his wife Giada, played by Mimi Gianopulos, and two kids, Roman and Milo, played by Alkaio Thiele, 13, and Max Matenko respectively.
Wizards of Waverly Place was a popular show that ran from 2007-2012 and turned Gomez into a teen idol.

Their lives are changed when Gomez's Alex brings young Billie, played by Janice LeAnn Brown, to the Russo home unexpectedly, asking for her big brother's help.
The arrival makes Justin realize he 'must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities – and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.'
