Katie Holmes was on the move when she was spotted catching an uptown subway in Downtown Manhattan on Sunday.
Just like any other New Yorker, the actress, writer and director stood on the platform awaiting the next train to arrive looking casual chic in black slacks with a white-patterned dress shirt and white shoes.
With the temperature hovering just above the freezing point, she covered up with a tan overcoat, as she checked her phone for messages.
It appears the former Dawson's Creek star left home in a bit of a hurry, as she sported a wet head while down in a subway station.
Her long locks were styled long, straight and flowing with a part on the slight right, to go along with the wet look.

Donning dark sunglasses, while in the midst of all the New York City hustle and bustle, Holmes never seemed to be bothered by any passing fans.
The anonymity of the big city has been the lure for many celebrities in choosing to live in New York over places like smaller towns and even Los Angeles.
Still minding her own business without directing any attention to herself, the next train could be heard pulling in, which set off the awaiting riders to mingle closer to the train once it stopped and opened its doors.
Holmes and the other passengers eventually filed in and she was on the way towards uptown for the next destination on her Sunday agenda.
