Top Gear presenters Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris are set to make their TV driving comeback, months after the show was indefinitely shelved.

The pair presented Top Gear with Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff, before the cricketer nearly lost his life in a horror crash on the show in 2022. 

After Top Gear was shelved following the near-fatal accident, it appears Chris, 49, and Paddy, 50, are to front a new travel show. 

Said to be called Chris & Paddy: Roadtrip, the new show will follow the pair around Europe as they use different modes of transport to adventure round the continent.

BBC Studios insider told The Sun: 'This is a brand new travelogue show for Paddy and Chris.

'The duo will travel across Europe, using various modes of transport, visiting people to find the secrets to wellness and happiness — no stunts, no car reviews.'

BBC bosses have specified that the new show is not a continuation on from Top Gear, despite its similarities.  

Freddie, 46, was 'lucky to be alive' after his is open-topped three-wheel 130mph Morgan Super 3 car, which had no air bags, flipped over in December 2022, leaving him with severe facial injuries and several broken ribs.

Following the near-fatal smash, the broadcaster announced that it would pause Top Gear - and in November last year it was rested for the 'foreseeable future'.
