Chris Pine loved working with his costars on his new film Poolman, which he not only stars in but also directs.
The actor told People on Thursday that the stars were his top choice.
The films features Annette Bening, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Danny DeVito, whom he described as a 'hall-of-fame team.'
'Just getting to work with one of them would be fortunate,' shared Pine.
'The fact that they all said yes was unbelievable. I'm forever grateful they gave their time and talents to the film,' he said.
The performer also remarked that he wanted Poolman to lift the spirits of moviegoers.
'We hope you leave the theater with a smile, feeling a little bit lighter than when you came in. Just a moment to escape the day-to-day with a story that delights,' he stated.
