Rebel Wilson breaks her silence hours after Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher ... trends now

Rebel Wilson has broken her silence just hours after Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher announced their split.

The British actor, 52 and the Australian actress, 48, announced today they had quietly separated last year by sharing a bizarre snap posing in tennis outfits. 

After 14 years of marriage, it has been reported that Rebel's claims in her memoir Rebel Rising 'were the catalyst' for the end of their marriage. 

The Pitch Perfect star made shock claims about her experience with the 'a**hole' comedian, claiming Sacha told her to strip off when filming scenes for the 2016 comedy The Brothers Grimsby.

And now Rebel, 44, has broken her silence as she took to social media posing up a storm in a satin green dress while lying on the sofa, with the caption: 'What a week!'

In the short clip, Rebel is being photographed as she lies on the sofa posing for the camera. 

Dressed in the glamorous wrap dress, Rebel sticks her tongue out and gives the peace sign as Stop by the Spice Girls plays in the background. 

She captioned the snap: 'What a week! I need a lie down on the couch now…for real! Thank you so much to everyone who has bought REBEL RISING and is already enjoying it! Love you'.

In a second clip Rebel is being pictured standing up as she poses confidently with her arms crossed across her chest as Kylie Minogue's Padam Padam plays.  

Rebel also shared a link on her story to her live show in Los Angeles where she will sit down for an 'in person with conversation' with Jess Cagle to discuss her controversial new memoir.

After posting a link to to tickets for the show, the star also promoted her new book as she revealed that while the book is available to buy in the US, it isn't quite ready for sale in the UK and Australia.

She wrote: 'UK and AUS momentarily delayed by an a**hole but not for long.'

While Sacha has strongly denied ever mistreating Rebel or pressuring her to be naked in the film,  friends of the star couple have revealed the allegations were the final straw in the decision to make their split public. 

A source told The Sun Isla was 'starting to get embarrassed' about the claims in the book, which acted as 'a catalyst' in her decision to announce their split and allowed her to protect her 'own career and reputation'.

Another source close to the couple added that the 'decision wasn't taken lightly' and there is 'still a lot of love' between Isla and Sacha, who 'remain incredibly close'. 

A source told The Sun: 'Rebel's book was a catalyst in Isla deciding to announce this to the world. 

'She's got her own career and reputation to worry about.

'Those close to her said it was starting to get embarrassing with all of the allegations that were spilling out of Rebel's book.

'So she felt as though it was the right thing to do to inform everyone of their decision. 

'Sacha, on the other hand did not want that. He has been making as though it's business as usual before they made this announcement.' 

Another source close to the couple added: 'They have been having difficulties for some time and have battled to make things work.
