Joker fans have been left utterly baffled after British icon Steve Coogan made a surprise cameo in the trailer for the film's sequel.
Joker: Folie à Deux stars Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker and Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, a fellow asylum inmate who forms a deadly romantic relationship with him.
The trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel was released on Tuesday, revealing the film would be released in the UK and US on October 4.
But it was the cameo of Coogan, best known for his character Alan Partridge, in the trailer which really caught the attention of UK audiences.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, viewers showed their enthusiasm for the English-Irish actor, 58, featuring in the film - with some saying he was the reason they would go and see it.
