Patrick Swayze's widow Lisa Niemi has revealed she was hit by backlash from the actor's fans over remarrying five years after his death.
Swayze died aged 57 in 2009 following a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was married to Niemi, 67, from 1975 until his death.
In 2014 she remarried, tying the knot with Albert DePrisco but said she faced criticism from 'rabid' fans of Swayze.
Appearing on the April 8 episode of the Amy and T.J. Podcast, she said: 'It's like, "How dare you." There are some pretty rabid Patrick fans out there who think I'm evil, just don't like me because I was married to him.
'There was a lot of flak that came on that, a lot of criticism, and you just learn to deal with it and move on. But it’s like, I was so tempted so many times to say, "Hey girlfriend, stand in my shoes, tell me about it. Go ahead, tell me just because I lost my husband that I don't love him anymore."'
