Sheridan Smith has suffered a career blow as her West End play Opening Night was cut short by two months after failing to impress 'bored' audiences and critics.
Fans were left baffled by the production, with scores streaming out of the show nearly every evening since its March 6 debut, complaining about the confusing plot.
The West End play was due to finish on July 27, however following poor reviews and theatre goers walking out, the final performance will now be on May 18.
Producers blamed a 'challenging financial landscape' for the decision to end the run, which is taking place at the Gielgud Theatre in London.
In the coming weeks, Sheridan will likely be relying on some of her closest showbiz friends as she tries to shrug off the play's negative reception.
