Aoki Lee Simmons shed some light on her current state of mind following the end of her brief fling with Vittorio Assaf, who is 44 years her senior.
As she picks herself back up amid her breakup, the model, 21, shared a quote that resonated with her from a 2023 interview with Chloë Sevigny, in which she spoke about navigating life as a young woman living in New York City.
On Wednesday night, the daughter of Kimora Lee Simmons and entrepreneur Russell Simmons shared a quote from the Cut article, in which Sevigny recalled spending her days 'standing in line for ticket scalpers and going out, dancing and making out.'
'That was my big year of going out,' Sevigny continued. 'I do know for my mom it was very terrifying, but I checked in a lot, and my dad would always remind her that there was more good in the world than bad.'

The Oscar nominee, who modeled in the mid-1990s before launching to stardom as an actress, acknowledged that her parents were 'pretty worried about drugs, but [she] never liked doing them.'
While she said she has 'never even done cocaine,' Sevigny admitted to partaking in other things like 'acid, ecstasy, and candyflipping.'
While Sevigny was clearly speaking about her own parents, Janine Malinowski and H. David Sevigny, Aoki told her followers that she was feeling the exact same way.
'Her words [are] also mine [at this point],' Aoki, who moved to Brooklyn after graduating from Harvard University at age 20 last year, wrote over the cryptic post.
