Before Studio 10 aired, Channel 10 had mixed success with morning talk show The Circle in 2010.

The show - presented by Denise Drysdale, Chrissie Swan, Yumi Stynes and Gorgi Coghlan - featured a blend of lifestyle, cooking, and interview segments, alongside advertorials.

Despite the show's two Logies and even a gold nomination for host Chrissie Swan, it was unceremoniously dumped mid-2012.

'The Circle had a committed audience but their were other political and budget factors at play and that's why it was cancelled,' Former Studio 10 executive Rob McKnight once said.

She was the first star to be eliminated from the jungle.

The veteran entertainer, who hosted daytime panel show Studio 10 from 2016-2020, was also diagnosed with a rare and painful facial condition called trigeminal neuralgia (TN) in September 2021.

In August the following year Denise announced that she was finally on the mend after months of agony.
