Katy Perry has an idea or two about who should replace her as a judge on American Idol after the current season comes to an end. 

The hitmaker, 39, who kept her cool during a wardrobe malfunction on Monday night's show, opened up about who she thinks should fill the seat between Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

In an interview with E! News on Monday, the Billboard Music Award winner said, 'I gotta say Jelly Roll was crazy when he came on the show. 

'I was convinced at anything he said,' the When I'm Gone singer exclaimed.

'He could run for president, he could be my pastor, I might go back to church for him. He could sell me anything,' she explained after interacting with the 39-year-old Wild Ones singer who appeared on the April 8 episode.

If Jelly Roll were to join the team, it would be an all male panel with no women.

'So I love him,' she continued adding, 'And to have any of these guys plus Jelly on the show would be amazing.

'I love you, Jelly!' she said in a shout out to the singer and rapper. 

Perry said she would like her replacement to be 'a truth teller.'
