Tammy Fox has been left devastated after her paralysed dog Pumpkin was banned from a family holiday she won on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

The charity boss, 43, who runs Pumpkin and Friends to raise awareness of disabled animals, appeared in the show's live audience with 410 other volunteers in February.

And it seemed her dream had come true, as every guest was gifted a dream getaway for four to kick off the new and final series of the ITV show.

However Tammy has now revealed she has had to cancel as TUI say her paraplegic West Highland Terrier, two, can not travel because she is not an assistance dog.

Despite offering to closely mind Pumpkin, who uses a special buggy with wheels and has no bladder control, the travel company still said no.

Tammy told The Sun'I'm angry. This is effectively discrimination against my disabled dog.

'We wouldn't have the holiday if it wasn't for Pumpkin so it's only right that she comes.'

She added: 'We're all devastated after being given a prize only for our dreams to be snatched away from us. We had such a good time on the show but it's all been spoilt.'

TUI told The Sun: 'We appreciate she is disappointed. Sadly, UK airline policies prohibit non- assistance dogs travelling in an aeroplane cabin.

'We're tied to terms and conditions and policies around the prize, but we're in touch with her team about other ways we might be able to support the charity as a gesture of goodwill.'

MailOnline have contacted ITV for comment.

Tammy also took to Instagram as she filled her followers in on the disappointment, as she wrote: 'Tui won't allow us to take Pumpkin on our Saturday night Takeaway Holiday'.

She then explained that the show contacted her husband Richard last August, as Tammy had been nominated to be an audience member on her show, unbeknownst to her.
