Christine Lampard stunned in fresh-faced throwback snaps from her teenage years as she reflected on her life growing up in Northern Ireland on Wednesday's Loose Women.

The presenter, 45, was the latest star of the show's Life Before Loose segment, which sees guests look back at their childhood and journey to stardom.

During the segment, Christine struggled to hide her embarrassment as snaps taken while she was still at school appeared on-screen.

In the interview, Christine also reflected on the challengers of growing up in Northern Ireland at the height of The Troubles.

She explained that her father Frederick would spend the evenings performing in local bars and clubs, she feared that he could be 'shot' at the height at the violence.

'I think because my dad was out in bands all the time, people would come into pubs and clubs and just shoot,' Christine said.

'I wouldn't sleep until I could hear Dad's car pull up outside. I would just stare at the ceiling. It went on for years. It knocks you for six and everything feels like it's on our door-step.'

Looking back at her television career, Christine added: I used to go past the ITV and BBC building and think I can't believe people are in there reading the news and I'm watching it on TV.
