Tom Cruise won't be celebrating with his daughter Suri for her 18th birthday on Thursday, with the star pictured in London on Wednesday where he continues to shoot his latest Hollywood blockbuster.
The movie star, 61, flashed a big smile as he piloted a helicopter - one of his favoured modes of transport - to flit between the UK countryside and London for filming on Mission Impossible 8.
His youngest child, daughter Suri will celebrate her milestone birthday on Thursday at home in New York, where she lives with her mother Katie Holmes.
Tom will have no part in the celebrations though, having been estranged from Suri since 2013, one year after he and Katie divorced.
The birthday will also signal the end of Tom's reported $400,000 a year child support payment to Katie as per their divorce agreement.

The last photo of the Top Gun actor out and about with his daughter was a trip to Disneyland in 2012, the year his divorce from Katie was finalised.
At the time of their split, it was reported that Katie had chosen to end the couple's marriage over fears about raising her daughter as a Scientologist - the religion that Tom has been dedicated to for decades.
Her decision to quit the religion, as well as the marriage, caused a major rift between the former spouses, which has seen Tom and Suri's relationship become increasingly distant over the years.
Speaking exclusively to Dailymail.com last year, an insider explained that Tom does 'not have a part in [Suri's] life' - after it was previously revealed that the pair have not seen each other in years.
According to their divorce documents, Tom agreed to pay Katie $400,000 a year until Suri turned 18 years old.
The documents also state that Tom agreed to pay all of Suri's expenses, including 'medical, dental, insurance, education and other extracurricular costs.'
While his annual child support payments will stop, Tom could still be financially involved in Suri's life as the divorce agreement is said to include the stipulation that he will pay for college tuition.
It was reported last year that Suri is hoping to study fashion in New York from September.
