The Kyle and Jackie O Show are neck-and-neck with Fifi, Fev and Nick in the latest survey as each show takes out the number one spots in Sydney and Melbourne

According to GFK Radio Ratings, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson once again landed Sydney's #1 breakfast show in their 42nd consecutive survey, just over a week ahead of their expansion into Melbourne territory.

But they have stiff competition ahead as 101.9 The Fox's Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Nick Cody secured their own crown as Melbourne's most listened to breakfast show for their 11th consecutive survey.

Kyle, 52, and Jackie O, 49, managed to grow their market share to 16.1% in the latest ratings survey, raking in a whopping 834,000 listeners each week as 'the most listened to show in Australia'. 

Meanwhile, their competitors Fifi, 47, Fev, 43, and Nick achieved 'the biggest share result in Melbourne FM radio' since 2012, securing 11.2% of the market share and pulling a massive 694,000 listeners.

Kyle, 52, spoke about his show's results live on Thursday morning, saying: 'The ratings have come out again today, and surprise, surprise, here we are on top of the pile once again. Number one. Clearly both AM and FM.' 

The shock jock went on to 'congratulate' Nova FM's Fitzy and Wippa 'who have had the biggest ratings they've ever had in the history of their show'.
