ABC's Triple J are in hot water after displaying a crude word on their digital radio channel.

The broadcaster's youth station played a two-minute song called 'Bring Wet C***' by Australian artist Zheani.

The 'c' word was played 41 times in the lyrics of the song, which also featured other offensive language.

The name of the song was also displayed on the DAB radio, which saw one listener make a complaint to ABC ombudsman Fiona Cameron, The Australian revealed.

The listener argued the song was 'sexist, misogynist and foul' but Ms Cameron found the 'language is justified in the context of a track by an Australian rapper'.

She said the 'content is not degrading to women' and claimed listeners were warned about 'some coarse language' before it was played.
