Post Malone gushed over Taylor Swift in a sweet tribute post after The Tortured Poets Department artists released her collab with the rapper.

The highly anticipated music video for Taylor's first single Fortnight off her double album - on which Post, 28, features - was released on Friday.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Post shared a behind-the-scenes snap of himself and Taylor, 34, as he thanked her for approaching him for the song.

'It's once in a lifetime that someone like @taylorswift comes into this world,' he wrote.

'I am floored by your heart and your mind, and I am beyond honored to have been asked to help you with your journey. I love you so much. Thank you Tay.'

Taylor and Post's emotional Fortnight music video with Post Malone was released on Friday after her long-awaited album dropped.

The Grammy winner initially uploaded a black and white teaser to her fans on Thursday ahead of the music video's premiere.

The songstress was not only joined by Post but also Dead Poets Society stars Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles, who made surprise cameos.

Moments before the video started, a countdown clock appeared on the screen with the sound of typewriters clicking away in the background.

A title card then appeared with 'Fortnight' and mimicked the beginning of a silent film.

The video then cut to Taylor laying on a bed with no mattress while chained to the railing. The bed itself was placed high up on a wall inside a large room that appeared to be inside an asylum.

A doctor then walked in upside down on the ceiling while holding a tray of medication, with a bottle of pills being labelled 'Forget him.'

Taylor donned a strapless gown from the Australian designer Toni Maticevski for the video, which had a dramatic neckline and fitted bodice.
