Geri Horner was 'back to Ginger Spice mode' while performing with her former bandmates at Victoria Beckham's birthday bash, a body language expert has revealed.

The singer, 51, made a solo appearance at Victoria's 50th birthday bash at London's swanky private members club Oswald's on Saturday, with her husband Christian absent due to the Chinese Grand Prix taking place on the same weekend.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, body language expert Judi James said that Geri was a picture of confidence while performing with her Spice Girls bandmates, offering a hint at her famous alter-ego by 'pushing herself forward.'

The band were captured performing their iconic track Stop by Victoria's husband David, who posted a clip of the reunion on social media.

In recent weeks Geri has firmly stood by her husband while he was the subject of an internal investigation after accusations - which he denies - of 'coercive behaviour' towards a female colleague were made against him, before he was cleared.

Judi said: 'After her very sculpted-looking body language displays with her husband during the recent Grand Prix events, where she seemed to adopt an almost saintly air of enigmatic stoicism, wearing a closed or partly-closed mouth smile that remained stubbornly fixed in place for the paps, despite the fact that it rarely if ever reached her eye expression in an eye-smile to suggest an authentic, relaxed shrugging-off of the rumours or any pain caused by them.

'Arriving at the party here without the plus-one influence of Christian to influence her posing, Geri still appears to have adopted that enigmatic and rather regal look.

'In her elegant white dress she makes this look like a continuation of the signals of silent, classy resilience that she projected before and, like before, the part-smile isn’t reaching her eye expression, which has more of a wary, wide-eyed look to it.

'The party itself could have been the perfect therapy and antidote to any pressure for Geri though as she seems to have found it easy to flip back into Ginger Spice mode, happily dropping the high-status regal body language rituals to recover some of her famous in-your-face attitude and sense of fun.

'She doesn’t just stand in the line up with the other Spice Girls, she does her old trick of pushing just a little bit forward and throwing herself into the chorus with the kind of enthusiasm and love of the spotlight that she was always known and loved for years ago.'

During Victoria's lavish festivities, all five of the Spice Girls came together to sing one of their hit tracks, Stop, for the star-studded guests - which was all caught on camera by David.

The former soccer player could be seen with an excited smile on his face as the group showed off a few dance moves while singing along to the lyrics.

Other partygoers also joined in on the fun during the special moment.

In the caption of the post, David penned to his followers, 'I mean come on x @victoriabeckham @melaniecmusic @officialmelb @emmaleebunton @gerihalliwellhorner,' followed by colourful heart emojis.

Victoria also shared the clip, writing 'best night ever! Happy Birrthday to me! I love you all so much! #SpiceUpYourLife'.

The outing was Geri's first public appearance since her husband Christian's Formula One scandal.

Christian was the subject of an internal investigation in February after accusations - which he denies - of 'coercive behaviour' towards a female colleague were made against him, before he was cleared.

However, his future remains under scrutiny after text messages between Horner and what appears to be a female colleague were leaked in 79 screenshots.

While Christian was cleared of misconduct, pals said that Geri was 'extremely humiliated' after a tranche of intimate messages her Formula One boss husband allegedly sent to a woman colleague were leaked days later.

One said: 'All along Christian promised there was nothing in it.'

She had stood by the motorsport executive during an independent investigation by his company after he was
