Dancing Queen has been crowned by music fans as their favourite Abba song. 

The timeless tune was voted for by tens of thousands of Radio 2 listeners, beating The Winner Takes It All and Thank You For The Music into the runner-up spots.

Commemorating 50 years since the Swedish superstars won Eurovision with Waterloo, fans could pick up to five of their favourites from Abba's top 40 UK hits, as well as five other tracks selected by hosts Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Sara Cox.

Radio 2's head of music, Jeff Smith, said: 'Dancing Queen is one of the most classic pop songs ever recorded.'

Dancing Queen was a global hit and became the band's only number one song in the United States.

It was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2015.
