Harry Garside has taken a vow of chastity ahead of competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The professional boxer, 26, announced on Instagram on Tuesday he would refrain from 'shooting his shot' until he battles to win Australia's first Olympic gold medal for boxing in July.
'Tomorrow is the day I cut out shooting my shot if you get what I'm saying until post Olympics,' the athlete wrote, adding a water splash emoji.
'I did from the start of June in 2021 and got bronze so need to do more to win,' he added, referring to his boxing bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
His post was accompanied by a photo of the lightweight champion staring down at the camera in his car with a determined expression on his face.

Harry's announcement came days after he spoke to The Project about his plans for the Australian boxing team to bring home four Olympic gold medals this year.
'We're going to win multiple, I'm going to be one of them. We are going to win plenty, I'm calling it at four medals,' he began.
'I think we have a massive chance and leading into the Brisbane 2032 Olympics, let's hope we can inspire some people!'
