After starring in one of the most successful sitcoms of all time - Modern Family - Ty Burrell is returning to the small screen, with Bryan Cranston at his side.
Burrell, 56, has signed on to star in a comedic reimagining of the 1950s drama series Tightrope, with Cranston and Burrell both executive producing, via Deadline.
The show, 'reshapes the drama of the vintage 1950s series into a slapstick comedy,' according to the show's description.
Burrell will play, 'a lone wolf detective following cases city to city, while he searches for his long-lost love who got away.
Roku has given the green light for the six-episode series, which will be produced under Cranston's Moonshot Entertainment, Burrell's Desert Whale
