Dave Chappelle's attacker sues Hollywood Bowl for negligent security and ... trends now
Isaiah Lee, the man who attacked Dave Chappelle on stage at the Hollywood Bowl in 2022, is, now, suing the outdoor amphitheater.
The 25-year-old is taking legal action against the iconic venue and its security staff for 'negligent security and battery.'
According to TMZ, Lee claims that security allowed him to rush the stage and encourage the Chappelle Show host, 50, to carry out the attack.
The lawsuit was filed exactly two years after Lee rushed the stage to attack the comedian because he was 'triggered' over Chappelle’s jokes about the LGBTQ community and homelessness.
Lee, who identifies as bisexual, insisted, at the time, he attacked The Nutty Professor actor as a protest.
In the lawsuit, Lee alleges that the security staff at the Bowl beat him, spit on him and dislocated his elbow on purpose.

Now the man, named Isiah Lee, 25, is suing the iconic venue and its security staff for negligent security and battery and claims that security allowed him to rush the stage and encourage the Chappelle Show host, 50, to carry out the attack, TMZ reported
Video of the event showed Chappelle performing his set when Lee appeared out of nowhere from offstage and tackled the comedian, knocking him to the ground.
During the attack, a fake gun with a knife hidden inside fell out of Lee's pocket, but was not used on Chappelle.
He was not injured in the attack and carried on with his show,
