Home and Away star Matt Evans got caught in a rip while surfing at Bronte beach on Sunday and suffered a horror injury to his hand.
The soap star, 27, was rushed to hospital after being 'slammed up against the rocks' when he came off his board trying to catch a large wave.
He appeared well despite the bloody injury, as the singer shared several pictures to his Instagram Stories of the ordeal.
The first showed him moments after being rescued, sporting a big grin as he showed off several bleeding grazes and cuts.
'The sea was angry that day my friend,' read the caption which was written by Matt's friend singer-songwriter Jaime Robbie Reyne.
