And stars were already seen getting ready at breakfast time as they got in a hot shower, worked out and enjoyed coffee.
Many were seen already meeting with their glam teams to make the right fashion statement.
Riley Keough, Lea Michele, Kelsea Ballerini and Ashley Graham were all busy getting beautiful.
Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Hemsworth, Bad Bunny, and Vogue editor Anna Wintour will serve as the evening's co-chairs.
The dress code for the event will be The Garden Of Time.
The event marks the opening of The Costume Institute's spring exhibition. The theme is Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.
The exhibition will be on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Fifth Avenue from May 10 to September 2, 2024.

Vogue announced it will host the fourth annual livestream of The Met Gala Red Carpet, which will take place on May 6 in New York City.
And the livestream will be hosted by some famous faces.
Star Wars actor Gwendoline Christie, producer and actor La La Anthony, and model Ashley Graham will all be there.
Internet multihyphenate Emma Chamberlain will return as Vogue's special correspondent to interview stars on the carpet.
The stream is hosted by Vogue and broadcast live across its digital platforms, as well as TikTok and YouTube, a press release shared on Monday.
Tons of other media will be on site, too.
Catch the action on E!, also starting at 6 p.m., with livestreams on X, TikTok, Instagram and Peacock.
The Associated Press will be live outside the Mark Hotel, where many celebs get ready before heading to The Metropolitan Museum of Art for their walk up the grand staircase. That livestream will begin at 4:45 p.m. Eastern and will be available on " class="c4"YouTube and APNews.com.
Who attends is top secret but Rihanna has spilled she'll be there. She'll likely be accompanied by her partner A$AP Rocky.

This comes after Zendaya said she finds the Met Gala 'terrifying'.
The actress, 27, will be going up the Met steps for the first time since 2019 this year and is set to co-chair the event, but she has admitted the experience is both exciting and 'daunting'.
During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, she told the hosts: 'Going up the steps is very daunting, and I haven't been back for maybe four or five years.
'So this is, like, my first time back at the Met in quite a while.'
The actress, who is gearing up to the release of her new movie Challengers - where she plays the stylishly-dressed tennis player Tashi - said she loves to 'embody' her characters, even during press tours.
She explained: 'It's fun in the sense that I like to look at fashion as creativity.

Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion will feature approximately 250 different items, including some pieces that are over 400 years old, like an 1877 Charles Frederick Worth silk satin ball gown.
The dress code will be The Garden of Time, which is said to be inspired by the J.G. Ballard's 1962 short story of the same name.
Vogue has explained the dress code will be about 'fleeting beauty.'
