Rebel Wilson has admitted that she hasn't spoken with Isla Fisher after making bombshell claims about ex-husband Sacha Baron Cohen in her memoir, Rebel Rising.

The Pitch Perfect actress, 44, made several claims against her former Grimsby co-star, 52, accusing him of inappropriate on set behaviour. A week after the claims surfaced, Fisher announced she and Cohen had split last year after 14 years of marriage.

Speaking with the Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday morning, Wilson said she hasn't conversed with Fisher following the release of her memoir and the news of her split.

'I haven't spoken to her,' she told hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson.

'Obviously, I used to be friends with her before all this happened. We did a movie together called Bachelorette.'

Wilson added that she didn't believe the revelations in her memoir were the cause for Isla's break up with Sacha, but admitted the 'timing wasn't great for him'.

'I don't feel like I'm the reason [for their break up]. But it might have just been his general treatment to women,' she continued.

Wilson first opened up about her difficult experience with the British actor in her new memoir Rebel Rising, which has finally been released in Australia and New Zealand with the allegations about Sascha - which he strongly denies - redacted.

The memoir was published in other countries like the US and UK last month.

The blacked out chapter was titled 'Sacha Baron Cohen and Other A**holes' and described the allegedly inappropriate manner Cohen behaved towards her on the set of the 2016 comedy movie Grimsby.

Wilson played Cohen's on-screen girlfriend in the 2016 Louis Leterrier-directed film.

Cohen's legal team has deemed the decision by publishers HarperCollins a vindication, following the creator's strong denial of Wilson's claims.

'HarperCollins did not fact check this chapter in the book prior to publication and took the sensible but terribly belated step of deleting Rebel Wilson's defamatory claims once presented with evidence that they were false,' the statement, presented in Deadline, said.

'Printing falsehoods is against the law in the UK and Australia; this is not a ''peculiarity'' as Ms Wilson said, but a legal principle that has existed for many hundreds of years.

'This is a clear victory for Sacha Baron Cohen and confirms what we said from the beginning – that this is demonstrably false.'

After a redacted edition was finally published, publisher HarperCollins confirmed to MailOnline that details had been removed.

They told MailOnline: 'The book contains some redactions in chapter 23 on pages 216, 217, 218 and 221, as well as an explanatory note at the beginning of the chapter.'

After the allegations were detailed in the US version of the book, Cohen's spokesperson said: 'While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence...
