Vanderpump Rules: Ariana Madix breaks fourth wall after refusing to speak with ... trends now

Ariana Madix flipped out and broke the fourth wall when her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval tried to talk to her at a party on Tuesday's episode of Vanderpump Rules. 

The 38-year-old reality star walked away after Sandoval, 41, interrupted her conversation with Scheana Shay, 40, in a disastrous attempt to offer an on-air apology.

Ariana bolted toward the production crew and was about to leave the party when the Bravo show's executive producer Jeremiah Smith asked her to stay.

'Ariana, seriously, don't do this,' Jeremiah said.

'Him f***ing walking up on me talking to Scheana,' Ariana said. 'He doesn't give a s*** if I f***ing died in a ditch or if I got a f***ing deadly STD the way he was f***ing around behind my back! That is non-informed consent! And he does not deserve to speak to me. He does not get access to me.'

The term 'breaking the fourth wall' refers to the imaginary wall between performers and the audience and breaks when a character acknowledges being filmed by directly addressing the camera and the show's production. 

Ariana's explosion happened after she had congratulated Scheana on her singing at Kyle Chan's Gold Whiskey Bar opening in San Francisco. Scheana told her about how Sandoval flew out his sound guy to set everything up for her.

'I've seen that genuine side of him that I've loved for 15 years, who has been a good friend to me,' Scheana said. 'I'm hoping he's changing and becoming better.'

'I don't know why she thinks she knows this man better than I do, but all right, girl, I'm happy for you,' Ariana said in a confessional.

'He's an ex-boyfriend of mine who does not deserve to be in my presence and breathe the same air as me, and that will not change,' Ariana told Scheana.

Scheana said she thought Ariana wanted an apology from him.

'I don't want him to speak to me ever again,' Ariana said. 'I don't want apologies.'

Scheana told Ariana she wanted them to be friends, but didn't think she could write-off Sandoval forever.

'I want him to literally never speak to me,' Ariana said.

'I just don't want to ever lose you,' Scheana said.

Sandoval tried to talk to Ariana, but she immediately walked away.

'I just wanted to tell her I'm sorry,' Sandoval said.

'She doesn't want to talk to you,' Scheana said. 'I already tried.'

Sandoval told Billie Lee that Ariana was the one being 'performative' and not him.

'It's about a performance for the audience. He wants 30 seconds with the audience,' Ariana said to show producer Jeremiah.

'Whatever it is that Tom is trying to get from me, it's not for me,' Ariana added in a confessional.

'If you don't want to film with your ex, don't be on the show!' Sandoval yelled. 'Seriously, don't sit back on your lazy a** and collect a f***ing check for doing nothing.'

Ariana left with her new boyfriend Daniel Wai and Sandoval went over toward executive producer Jeremiah who was standing with Tom Schwartz, Lala Kent and Scheana.

'I'm pissed that she's saying that,' Sandoval said to the group. 'On the real. She f***ing talked s*** about all of you f***ers. She doesn't show up for your s***. She's not going to come to your f***ing thing. I'm going to come! When push comes to shove, I'm f***ing there, dude.'

'I know you are Tom, I know,' Scheana said. 'I said this to her!'

'Okay, okay,' Sandoval said.

'You have been there for me,' Scheana said. 'That's why I'm struggling. Because you have been a good friend. And then she convinces me that you're not.'

Scheana started crying and Sandoval hugged her. Lala Kent, 33, said she wanted to 'break the fourth wall.'
