On Wednesday, the star, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, 34, shared a heartbreaking post announcing his 'sudden but peaceful' death and made a promise to her father.
In a heartbreaking caption, Sophie vowed to keep her father's 'workshop dream' alive as it became clear where she inherited her love of the home.
As a child she would watch New Yankees Workshop with her dad and the pair would dream of having a similar workshop themselves.
Then, when the family moved in 2021, Sophie surprised her father Alan with his own dedicated space and tools after he retired - something he had wanted 'since he was a little boy'.

Describing the workshop as the 'most emotional part of the house', Alan created his own workshop bench and stool and the pair pinned up a whiteboard to write out their upcoming projects.
Sophie ordered all her dads favourite tools for the workshop and shared her excitement to upcycle as much as she could alongside her father.
She wrote: 'I just can't wait for us to upcycle and make things in here together. Dad has worked so hard his whole life to look after us all and I felt like I could finally give him something back.'
When the star initially introduced her followers to her father's workshop in 2022, she shared a snap of its front door and penned: 'I'm so proud of my dad. The start of many projects together in Grandads workshop!
'Dad really wanted to make his own work bench and stool for the workshop and here it is!'
A few days later, she posted some more inside looks at the room, as well as further explaining why it was so important to her father.
She explained: 'Dad and I have written some of our projects on our whiteboard. Seeing dad so happy when in here really is everything.
'I think it's lovely to think that every person in this world has their own aims and dreams in life.
'A workshop has always been my dad's. We do just find ourselves making up projects as we go along because we want to use his new tools but we love it.'
