Tyrese Gibson's ex-wife Norma Mitchell is suing him for defamation and seeking a temporary restraining order against him over Instagram posts accusing her of 'blackmail and making death threats.'
Mitchell filed a lawsuit obtained by TMZ against the Fast and Furious star in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, alleging Gibson defamed her and disclosed private information about their teenage daughter Shayla, 16, in a series of Instagram posts between April 30 and May 7.
Gibson, 45 and Mitchell were married from 2007-2009 and have been locked in numerous legal battles over the years.
Mitchell claims the pair disputed over their daughter's school tuition before the actor used social media to make the row public - allegedly 'slamming Mitchell with a cruel barrage of derogatory and defamatory posts, including false accusations she has committed blackmail, extortion, death threats, tax evasion, forgery, bank fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering.'
The lawsuit claims Gibson shared his family court motion on social media and alleges he posted a Google Drive link to the filing in his bio. - which Mitchell claims listed Shayla's school and other personal details.

The lawsuit alleges Gibson knew he was not supposed to post the link - referring to a May 1 Instagram caption from the star which read: 'Before they make me delete this post and the link with the full 167 pages of court documents with details [ receipts ] to back up everything GO THERE NOW.'
The post remains on Gibson's Instagram page and reads: 'I’m done living my life in fear of what she might accuse me of next… I’m done with anyone having power over my life to make ALL THAT I HAVE BUILT crumble…. [ for those of you who will say “Cry me a river, you rich alpha MALE”…. That’s cool.
Gibson's claims include: 'Extortion, death threats, blackmail, tax evasion, domestic and international wire fraud, skipping 3 FULL YEARS of tuition of our daughter’s schooL OVER 25k in the rears [sic] 167 pages of the full on court documents link in bio ] …25 years of my life and me being a committed father…. No one will EVER HAVE POWER over my life and career…. Ever…. One thing I don’t do is LIE…
