An Australian man who is the spitting image of Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds has revealed the surprising way his movie star looks helped him purchase a property.
Brisbane influencer Shaun Birley, 35, said he was able to purchase a $1.34milllion Queensland property after securing several endorsements due to his resemblance to the Hollywood star, 47.
'I wish I could say he could potentially be my half brother but no. The funny thing is I just don’t see it and it comes up every day from people,' he told Realestate.com.au.
His resemblance to the Marvel favourite is so uncanny he was once approached by producers who asked him to appear as Reynolds' body double in a commercial.
'Unfortunately, we had a clashing of schedules, I missed out on an ad with Ryan in Abu Dhabi. The producers said they'll keep me in mind for future work which is cool.'
