Dr Alex George has lost seven stone after taking up exercise to improve his mental health after struggling following the death of his brother.
The former Love Island star, 33, told how he turned to food for comfort after his brother Llyr died after tragically taking his own life at the age of 19.
Alex admitted he was in a 'difficult spot' with eating and drinking and got to point where he no longer recognised himself.
Speaking on ITV's Lorraine, he said: 'Sometimes we go through difficult times, I've been through quite a journey. Of course, my brother passing, hard times do come, and dealing with these things is tough.
'I was dealing with grief from eating and drinking, I wasn't addicted, but you quickly find yourself in a difficult spot. I really though I lost myself, I didn't recognise myself.
