Rhian Sugden and her husband, actor Oliver Mellor, have welcomed their first child, George, after a challenging five-year journey which involved eight rounds of IVF and £150,000.
The couple, who had nearly given up hope of starting a family shared their emotional journey in an interview with The Sun.
Rhian, 37, revealed how the pair faced numerous hurdles, including a miscarriage scare at six weeks and a dramatic birth that required George to receive emergency oxygen, but despite that, his arrival has 'taken all the years of pain away'.
The former Page 3 model discovered she was pregnant last August and announced her news three months later in a heartfelt post.
Cradling her blossoming bump she captioned the picture: 'We have the most exciting news to share. Good things come to those who wait.'
