Dr Chris Brown RESIGNS from his new gig Dream Home live on-air: 'Someone get ... trends now

Dr. Chris Brown is set to star as host of Channel Seven's new renovation show Dream Home from Sunday.

But the 45-year-old single bachelor said he was already prepared to quit the show - to devote more time to his love life.

The fan favourite dropped his tongue-in-cheek bombshell during an appearance on KISS FM's Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Chris made his 'confession' after listening to Pink's emotional hit A Million Dreams during the segment.

'And this song is also a metaphor for my relationships, that I could have a million dreams if I just took a step back from work,' he joked.

'And now I've realised that there are more important things out there.'

The fan favourite made his remarks after hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson pressured him about his single status during the segment.

'Is this you resigning from [Dream Home] before it starts?,' Kyle teased Chris.

'I think this is the time. Someone get Channel Seven on the phone,' Chris replied.

Jackie O then joined in: 'Call someone at Channel Seven, Peter. We're letting them know that Chris is resigning because he wants to find love.'

Meanwhile, Seven has already renewed Dream House for a second season.

Renovator Lana Taylor, buyer's agent Simon Cohen and interior designer Rosie Morley will join Chris as judges for the debut series.

And this week producers of the show announced the contestants who will be battling out for a $100,000
