Ed Sheeran's Game Of Thrones cameo appearance on Monday garnered mixed reactions on social media.

While fans abroad, including David Beckham, applauded the singer's acting skills, Aussie viewers were far less complimentary - taking to Twitter and Facebook to weigh in.

The 26-year-old Grammy award-winner appeared as a Lannister soldier leading a group singing session and one viewer claimed the brief cameo 'ruined' the entire season 7 premiere.
