Insiders reveal 'terrible' living conditions The Bachelor 

On it's exterior, The Bachelor appears to be a five-star experience for it's lovelorn contestants.

But according to well-placed insiders, life in the mansion is anything but glamorous when the cameras are switched off. 

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, one source described the living conditions endured by contestants as 'terrible', revealing that the girls were forced to sleep on uncomfortable single bunk-beds.

The insider also revealed that the contestants' food supply was 'restricted' while filming this season because production staff went over their food budget early in the competition.

'They were allowed 2/3 of an avocado each a week. One girl stress-ate 2.5kgs of Nutella in two weeks because they weren't allowed to get normal snacks,' the insider said.

According to the insider, contestants weren't allowed to receive food supplies from their families during filming, the only exception being protein bars.
