The 42-year-old's new show, This Time Next Year, smashed ratings on Monday's premiere, drawing in a whopping 1,282,000 million viewers across the five-city metro.

As reported by Decidertv.com, The Block came a close second, gaining 1,259,000 viewers.
Indeed after the premiere of the show on Monday, fans flocked to Twitter to praise Karl, with some calling him the 'perfect host' and a 'true Aussie legend.'
