Pete Evans hits back at leading doctor paleo film panned

Pete Evans has gone head-to-head with the president of the Australian Medical Association president Dr Michael Gannon following a scathing review of his new paleo film The Magic Pill. 

After slamming the so-called documentary in an interview with The Daily Telegraph this week, Dr Gannon took to Twitter with a follow-up message for Pete Evans and his followers. 

'Today I'm announcing the #Flakeys- annual awards for the Film/TV least likely to contribute to the #publichealth #prevention', he Tweeted.

My Kitchen Rules judge Pete hit back on Instagram by uploading a screen-shot of Dr Gannon's Tweet and the caption: 'Is this type of behaviour befitting of the president of the AMA? (Australia's medical association).'

Released in May this year, The Magic Pill claims people suffering from illnesses such as diabetes, cancer and autism can reduce their symptoms and reliance on prescription drugs by adopting the diet for just five weeks.
