Scriptwriters 'hired' for Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig

Bosses for The Great British Bake Off were forced to hire comedy scriptwriters for Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding due to their 'lack of chemistry', it is reported.

Producers were sent into meltdown as they rewrote and reshot several scenes after the new presenters, who replaced Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, were branded 'not funny enough' - according to The Sun.

After roping in brothers Steve and Andrew Dawson and Tim Inman, it was claimed by an insider: 'There just wasn’t the right natural chemistry between them and it was decided there weren’t enough laughs either.'
