A source told the Sun: 'Coronation Street have never been afraid of tackling taboo subjects and this is not different.
'Seb's storyline isn't going to see him go on a huge "journey" and be drawn over months and years but the initial scenes are sure to be shocking.

In 2014 Emmerdale's Val Pollard was diagnosed HIV-positive after a holiday fling in Portugal. Actress Charlie Hardwick said she noticed the stigma attached to the illness after she was trolled on social media following her character's storyline.
While Hollyoaks touched briefly on the immunodeficiency virus as character Ste Hay was diagnosed after a one night stand - a plot twist actor Kieron Richardson claimed helped 'save lives' as it encouraged people to get tested.
Seb Franklin's news comes the day after an exciting trailer for the autumn run of episodes proved that the soap will be one not to miss over the next few months, with show bosses have hinted at multiple deaths, a dramatic kidnapping plot, a proposal and plenty of betrayal.
