Channel Seven's The Good Doctor cracks 1.6m viewers

Channel Seven continues to pull in huge ratings with several hit shows, and at least one program cracked more than one million metro viewers on Tuesday.

Airing at 8:45pm, American medical-drama The Good Doctor premiered with 1.062m metro viewers, according to latest OzTam figures.

The show, which tells the story of a young surgeon with autism, surpassed that of Seven's highest-rating miniseries this year - Hogues.

Axle Whitehead's new game show The Wall enjoyed a second night of ratings success, despite a slight drop in viewers.

Ratings for the trivia program dropped from 974,000 viewers on Monday to 795,000, however the show still managed to come out on top during the 7:30pm slot - beating Family Food Fight (523,000 viewers).

Despite receiving flak for being 'over the top' and 'total cr*p', the game show was the most-watched entertainment program on Monday night.

According to Mumbrella on Tuesday, the Channel Seven series pulled in 974,000 metro viewers, which was enough to top its rivals.

The show topped Network Ten's Have You Been Paying Attention?, which had an average metro audience of 725,000.

It also beat the Nine Network's new offering Family Food Fight, which trailed behind with 614,000 metro viewers.
