Peter Andre discusses losing brother Andrew to cancer

His brother Andrew passed away in December 2012 after losing his battle to kidney cancer.

And Peter Andre stopped off at the Good Morning Britain studios on Tuesday, admitting the pain of his death 'tore' his family apart during an interview about raising awareness for Cancer Research UK.

The 44-year-old actor confessed that his family have 'never got over' losing Andrew during his emotional plea to presenters Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.

Stressing the importance of getting checked out at the GP, Peter said: 'Early diagnosis is key. I lost my brother five years ago, it tore our family apart.

'We don't talk about it, we've never really got over it. It made me realise millions of families go through this.

'Us guys sometimes are a bit stubborn, sometimes you think it's nothing, but it could be too late. It's really important.'
