Big Bang Theory's Johnny Galecki to reprise Roseanne role

It's been rumored since news first leaked that ABC was prepping a revival of its hit comedy sitcom Roseanne back in April.

And on Friday Johnny Galecki confirmed that he will reprise his role as David Healy on the show that ran for nine seasons from 1988 to 1996.

The 42-year-old shared a photo from the table read for the upcoming reboot on Instagram on Friday. It showed his name card and a script with the set of Roseanne's lounge in the background.

Johnny's participation had been in doubt as he is now one of the highest paid TV actors ever thanks to rival network CBS' The Big Bang Theory.

He captioned the snap: '21 YEARS LATER…! Apart from being born, possibly the most surreal experience of my life.

'Deep thanks to my Big Bang Theory family for knowing the importance of visiting one’s roots and loaning me out for a quick minute. Much love.'

The original starred Roseanne Barr and John Goodman as Roseanne and Dan Conner, the parents of the hilariously dysfunctional family.
