MAFS' John and Melissa face 'family crisis'

They were plagued by rumours that they had split and were 'faking' their relationship on Married At First Sight.

But John Robertson and Melissa Walsh will remain defiant in the face of their critics, as they support each other through a tense 'family crisis'.

The couple go to Melissa's house, where a man presumed to be her father angrily says 'don't whinge - just get on with it!' in scenes set to air on Sunday's episode.

Hinting at trouble ahead, the teaser's voice-over says: 'Why married at first sight's john is standing by Mel through thick and thin, as Mel faces her biggest family crisis.'

The pair are seen politely greeting an elderly man, but things appear to take a sour turn later on.

Sitting at a table, the man seems irate as he talks to an unidentified person while Melissa sits next to him with a tense expression on her face.

Earlier in the week, fans were shocked to hear that one of the strongest couple had parted ways.
