And speaking to the Herald-Sun on Friday, Cher has revealed how she really feels about being a gay icon.
The 71-year-old hitmaker admitted the label was one that had never bothered her during her time in the spotlight.

'I've always been quite happy to be a gay icon. Especially gay men, they either love you or don’t even know you’re on the planet!' Cher said.
The If I Could Turn Back Time singer added that she had been surrounded by people of diverse sexual orientations from a young age.
'I've known gay people since I was young, my mum had tons of gay friends, women and men. I just always took it in my stride,' she added.
