On Monday, New Idea reported that Cassandra Thorburn was driving around a car park while her ex-husband Karl Stefanovic and his fiancée Jasmine Yarbrough were playing tennis nearby.
The magazine, which based its 'exclusive' story on paparazzi photos of the trio at a tennis court, suggested it as an 'awkward' run-in and speculated that Cassandra's facial expression suggested a 'showdown' was imminent.
But Cassandra wasted no time dismissing the story, taking to Facebook to clarify that she was dropping off her son for his regular lesson at their local tennis court when Karl and Jasmine unexpectedly stopped by for a game.

Cassandra wrote on Facebook: 'His father and new wife decide to have a lesson in our street rather than in their own suburb that finishes the exact time my son starts his lesson and what do New Idea do?
'They pretend I wasn't dropping of my son and make out I'm driving around car parks for no reason.'
Cassandra, an accomplished former journalist and TV producer, accused New Idea of 'harassment' and 'omitting the facts' before pleading with her friends not to buy the gossip magazine.
