MKR judge Manu Feildel reveals why Sonya and Hadil were booted

He recently booted team Sonya and Hadil from the show for being a 'bad example' on My Kitchen Rules.

And Judge Manu Feildel has revealed the reason for kicking the team off was done to ensure the future of the famed series focuses on cooking, rather than drama and 'bullying'.

Speaking on Seven network's Sunrise, the 44-year-old said of Sonya and Hadil: '[They are] not the type of people that we want to have on the show, even if they can cook.'

The show's latest season is currently under fire for 'prioritising drama over cooking'.

On this, the celebrity chef said: 'I think you have to be respectful when you come to someone's house and you get cooked for and also it is not the type of people that we want for the future. We wanted to set the bar and say 'enough is enough'.'

With regards to upcoming seasons, the chef shared the need to pick humble potentials, over applicants with an overly competitive streak.
