TV brain-boxes Rachel Riley and Kirsty Gallacher have reportedly taken home the highest ever prize fund to be won on quiz show The Chase.
Taking part in the celebrity edition of ITV's tea-time show, the pair - who present Countdown and Sky Sports respectively - beat The Chaser while recording a new episode this week, The Sun reports.
Rachel, 32, and Kirsty, 42, apparently went for the high offers, when facing The Chaser during the recording, which not only resulted in them getting back to the rest of their teammates, but also winning the jackpot.

The show - fronted by Bradley Walsh and featuring Chasers Jenny Ryan, Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Paul Sinha and Anne Hegerty - sees its contestants raising an amount of money during a cash builder round, before taking on whichever Chaser is present for the episode.
They are offered the chance to play for the money they've raised (£1k per correctly answered question) or to take a lower offer and answer one less question or take a higher one and answer one extra question.
It appears that both TV beauties called The Chaser's bluff and went for the top amounts.
